Swedish crooner Seinabo Sey seems to grow more powerful with each passing release. Having already rivalled Adele for sheer vocal muscle with 'Younger' and 'Hard Time', the Stockholm-born artist has her sights set on pop domination once again this week, unveiling her new single, 'Pretend'. "Things are going just as they should, knock on wood," goes the infectious refrain, but if we're being honest, there's no need for superstitions when it comes to Sey - this is another predictably robust number, gleaming with offbeat breaks, a wobbly EDM bassline, and of course, that roundhouse kick of a vocal. Sublime. Keep an eye out for her hotly anticipated debut album, coming later this year. - DC
